This 1984 Jeep CJ-7 Laredo was mechanically and cosmetically refurbished in 2016, which included overhauling the replacement 258ci inline-six, rebuilding the axles, powder-coating the frame and driveshafts, replacing braking, suspension, clutch, and exhaust components, and repainting the exterior red. Additional equipment includes a five-speed manual transmission, a dual-range transfer case, a Howell fuel injection system, 15″ eight-spoke alloy wheels, a 2″ suspension lift, Bilstein shocks, BDS springs, a black removable hardtop, R134a-converted air conditioning, and an AM/FM stereo.

During the refurbishment, the body was removed from the frame, and the headlights, window felts, and windshield frame are said to have been replaced. The truck is said to have been repainted in its factory shade of Sebring Red prior to the application of replacement Laredo decals and refurbishing the removable hardtop with new paint and replacement rubber seals. Equipment includes a chrome grille and bumpers as well as side steps, rear bumperettes, a rear-mounted spare tire, and Marshal driving lights as part of the Laredo package.

The 15″ eight-spoke wheels are mounted with Goodyear Wrangler tires. The truck is equipped with a 2″ suspension lift, Bilstein shocks, and BDS springs.
Service during the refurbishment included sandblasting and powder-coating the driveshafts and installing the following replacement components:

Front brake rotors, calipers and pads
Rear brake drums and shoes
Brake lines
Emergency brake cables
Power steering box
Wheel bearings
Front U-joints
Tie rods
Tie rod ends
Drag link
Ball joints


The cab features front bucket seats and a rear bench trimmed in black upholstery with gray inserts. Three-point rear seat belts are affixed to a roll bar from a later-model Jeep, and additional appointments include an AM/FM radio, a locking glovebox, Kenwood speakers, and R134a-converted air conditioning.

The leather-wrapped steering wheel fronts an 85-mph speedometer, a tachometer, an analog clock, and supplementary gauges. The six-digit odometer shows 101k miles, approximately 4k of which were added under current ownership.

The replacement 258ci inline-six was rebuilt and bored 0.030″ over in 2016. Additional work is said to have included machining and balancing the crankshaft, resurfacing the cylinder heads, fitting a Howell fuel injection system and a Walker exhaust system, and installing the following replacement components:
